ZenWorks for Desktops
Allows users to use Zen Works for Desktops' functions: Workstation import, Workstation policies, Workstation inventory, Remote management, and NAL (Novell Application Launcher).
Requirements
- A supported Novell client installed (see Novell downloads page).
- A user with local administrative privileges on Windows 2000/XP PCs because the installation process will modify the Windows registry.
- Windows 2000 SP3 or Windows XP SP1
Installing ZFD Agent
Windows 2000/XP
- Log in to the network with your NDS account and onto the machine with the local Administrator account.
- Open a web browser and go to the Novell downloads page.
- Select ZFD Agent.
- When prompted to “Save” or “Open”, select Save.
- Navigate to the folder where you saved the executable.
- Double click on the executable ZFD07176.exe.
- An “Information” window will appear.
- Select Yes to continue installation.
Uninstalling ZFD Agent
Windows 2000/XP
- Log in to the network with your NDS account and onto the machine with the local administrator account.
- Select Start.
- Select Settings.
- Select Control Panel.
- Select Add/Remove Programs.
- Highlight the Zenworks Desktop Management program.
- Select Remove.
